I had a 3 yrs old son, and in that young age he really love to play at the computer. When he wake up he always tell to me "mommy I want to play" even at staying late at night just for that. He can use the computer for long hours. sometimes really wait for his daddy to stop using the computer so he will be the next. Is it just normal to let my son doing that? Or do I have to control him?

I read in a magazine that children of this age should NOT be exposed to modern technology yet because it doesn't stimulate the brain of a child a lot. It's much more advisable to let them watch DVD that contains educational content. They need something that will stimulate all sections of their brain. You can probably try to find something else that will be more interesting for him. Since he is your child you alone can find out what will make him entertained without using the computer every time. Good Luck!

Ha, my grandson is 3 and I'm not even teaching him how to use my computer yet. I went thought it and still do with my 5 year old granddaughter. That's all they want to do and drive you crazy.
You have to be tough though and remember you are the parent. I don't know if it's good for kids to be on the computer all the time. I do know that children don't get the exercise they used to get because so many play video games all the time now. Which is a very serious problem. I'll start teaching my grandson next month when he turns 4 but I'll set a timer and he well only be allowed one or two hours per day.
What sites does your son use? I will only let him on learning sites. No killing in my house. This is a no kill shelter, I don't even kill bugs.

I would be very careful at that age. He seems to be a bright young boy but have to protect him from people on the computer. He has to have his sleep too. There are some types of computers for young children that u can control so be careful

I think u need to control him ! because i have a little brother who used to play on the Computer for many hours a day and now doesn't understand the meaning of things like the boys at his age ! less contact with world !.

It is normal that the new-generation is very much interested in technology, especially gaming. I, was at the same condition like your child once, and today, I know everything about Information Technology.
It is always good that your child is giving interest in the technology sector since it has a bright present, and a brighter future. Even I used to play games late till night in my childhood. New games which I bought might not get installed sometimes, so I kept learning new things while trying to install them, like I would edit the registry, search the Internet for help and all that.
Slowly, within 4-5 years, I knew a lot about programming, gaming and other fields. So I guess it is good if you promote this habit and let your child practise his future, just keep check that he takes care of his eyes.
