first my printer and now my sewing machine!!!!
I was sewing a long just fine and then the belt broke. Now it is going to be a week until my hubby gets home and we can go to a town that has real stores so I can get a new belt for it. Now I am sitting here looking at this cute cloth diaper that is half done.

wow what a good run of bad luck i would love to live in a place so remote that it takes a while to finally be able to get to the stores like that haha i feel for you though it seems like just when i finally get something fixed something else breaks maybe you should try sewing the rest of the cloth diaper by and that way you do not become so reliant on your sewing machine some people are so spoiled by using the sewing machine that they no longer even know how to sew by hand good luck getting it fixed just be patient

Depending on the age of your machine, sometimes you can replace the belt with a vacuum cleaner belt. I've done that tons of times. I always have replacement vacuum cleaner belts on hand and they seem to always fit the sewing machine I'm using. Plus they are much less expensive than going to the sewing machine shop for a new belt.
I hate to say this, but it seems to go in three's having stuff break. Hopefully your third thing isn't serious. I know when the first thing goes it snow balls. It started with my washer, then my dryer and then my car. Talk about having to spend money..the washer and dryer couldn't be fixed and the car was around $600! Talk about a bad month!!! :-(

I know how you feel, when my sewing machine was broken a couple of months ago. I was devastated. I hope you get it fix soon.

I stopped bothering with my sewing machine. I've been hand sewing everything lately. It's not as hard or as time consuming as I thought it would be.
You might try to look online. You might be able to order the belt from the manufacturer and have it delivered to you.

oh.. i can imagine that your really disappointed about the things happening to you since your printer also needs to repair ( i guess or it needs maintenance) and now your sewing machine... what a sad story but anyway don't take it as negative but take as a positive that in a sense that you are here in mylot enjoyed discussing with our friends here..
while waiting the time for you to go in town rather than just looking that cute cloth diaper that you still need to finish...
so cheer up.. be happy
