Is it good to have self PHOTO as a AVTAR?

I have mine, so I am ok with them. I do not seen any harm in doing that.

Some body said it is good to have an authenticity to what we say. It gives assurance to others that the person behind is serious in mylot. But Personally I don't like to put my own photo to a social forum like mylot. It gives undue exposure online and are prone to misuse. We can not imagine the way bad minds can make the life a hell.

i don't have a problem with it. as long as its a decent photos. i've seen some where it was themselves but not fully dressed. those i don't want to see. i think its a personal decision to have yourself as an avatar. i don't, because i don't have much pictures i like of myself and i think other avatars are much cuter. i don't need people to see what i look like since in places like this the only thing that should matter is my opinion.

well, currently i am using my picture as my avatar. and so far it's ok. i mean, i am not so well known that i have to hide my real look . so, i think it's ok. but time is changing. i think we have to always alert about that. if sometimes it seem to be harmful to use our own picture, i think we, including me, should change it. till now, it doesn't violate mylot's rules to use our own picture. but we are not to reveal our other details like address or email address.

There is no harm for that anyway. I like it when some here put their photo as avatar..Why not show ourselves? We humans are made to be handsome and beautiful so theres no wrong to show ourselves.

there's no really a problem on which photo they will use as their avatar, as long as they like it and doesnt offend anyone!!!And it is accepted here in mylot community. Happy mylotting

I don't think so think that it is good have our photo as a avatar because Somebody can do something from our photo.

Well, I would like to have my avatar of the real me up, but I am very cautious about doing this. You just never know whom is lurking on the Internet these days.. If someone wants to have one up, then they can, but as for me I am not doing this. It may cause problems down the road. Putting your picture up as an avatar poses a big risk to yourself. But, it is up to what anyone may want. This is a choice that they have to decide upon themselves.
