i have a chronic lower back pain problem for years. my work often requires a lot of travelling and long hours of travel usually aggravates the pain. Some friends who have similar problems advise me to use lumbar support if i have to travel for hours or when carrying heavy weights. i've been having second thoughts whether i get myself one for a lumbar support is quite expensive. if it doesn't work, i would be wasting hard earned money.

I suppose it depends on the problem. In my case, it seems to only increase the tension and pain.

The lumbar support makes the work for your muscles. It's better that your muscles do their work, and for that you must elongate and make them flexible, and once they are flexible enough you could try making them grow strong. That to eliminate the pain. If you have lower back pain then you shouldn't be carrying heavy weights! Always ask your traumathologist doctor all this things, because there are a lot of different problems, and your doctor is the one to help you make this decisions.- Regards
