have you ever broken any close relation?

The last close relationship I've broken was 3 years ago. And that is with a friend, I thought was a good friend but turned out not! She slandered me a lot. She was envious of the high regard given to me by the people in the church and for that she bad-mouthed me. But nobody believed her and she was disciplined by the Pastor for doing so. From then on, I disowned her and later she went out of the church when she noticed everyone seemed not believing her anymore.

If it can be said i broke it. actually it was relationship of friendship. i thought the person my best friend. that person was a real cheat. he cheated me big time. when i came to know, i decided i wont keep any contact.

Yes I have severed a number of close relationships but it wasn't really about them making a mistake, just more that we grew at different rates and in different directions. I do not keep relationships the way some people keep old socks in a drawer. If they no longer fit, out they go. That many seem odd from someone whos marriage has lasted 40-odd years, but you see, hubby and I are both always studying and reading and learning and so we grew with one another and not apart. I have some relatives, on the other hand, who never grew at all. They are still like children, easily led.
