Comets are composed of rock and dust bound together by ice. The ice changes to vapor when the comet is near the sun. It produces an amazing tail when it reaches the sun.
They say that a comet brings luck to everyone. The most famous comet was Halley's comet which was recorded by history.
Have you seen a comet? Astronomers say that it will not be back for thousands of years!

I have not seen Halley's comet, but I did see Comet Holmes (17P/Holmes) a little over a year ago when it was in Perseus. It was amazing! I saw it both naked eye and with an 8" reflecting telescope.

I have not seen a comet. I remember years back that we would be able to see Halley's comet. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see it. I've seen a shooting star though and it was very beautiful. I guess that it was a lucky coincidence that I looked up and saw one.
