I have a nice size crock pot that I usually put the meat in and let it cook for hours. I think any thing that we buy to eat anymore has many things in it that are not good for us. As long as it is cooked well done, and I hate well done, it kills whatever there is in it to make us sick. Food now adays is different than what we got when we was a kid. Alot of stuff I stay away from anymore. But I do most of my cooking either in the oven or the crockpot.

There are a lot of different ways to cook meat. You can boil it, which would be best in a stew where the meat can absorb the flavors in the stew. I often bake meat. The trick to baking meat is to make sure that there is liquid in the dish and the dish is covered so that the meat doesn't dry out. I often cook roasts this way. You can also broil meat, something that a lot of people might not do. I don't have a grill, so I occasionally will broil a steak. I fry meat maybe twice a month. I've been trying to get away from frying it because I'm tired of eating breaded and fried pork cutlets. I want to add that it isn't terrible to eat fried meat every once in a while, especially if you are frying it at home. That way, you can choose a better oil and you know what kind of oil is being used. I prefer to fry in canola because it's a good medium between cost and quality. You could also use sunflower oil, which is a pretty healthy alternative. I would like to add that a study I read last year found that meat that is cooked too well can also make people more likley to develop cancer. The reason is because of the high amount of carbon that develops in meat that is cooked very well.

I always fried them with some potatoes, some times with onion or tomato. And I will also cook some pork soup with carrot. :)
