Is it the little things that make you happy or do

you expect big things and would much rather not be bothered with the little things? By this I mean if your spouse or S/O did not have much money and bought you just a card for your birthday or anniversary or Christmas, would you be grateful and happy for the card, or would you have expected something bigger and better.
I am so grateful for the small things, because that shows me that someone is thinking about me. I do not need lavish gifts. I am grateful and happy if I get a stuffed animal, or a card, or even well wises and that is all.
What about you, are you happy with the small stuff, or do you expect more?

For me its the little things that make me happy because i thats all that counts in my books. When my husband comes home and rubs my back or rubs my head that makes my day or when my kids just comes over and gives me a hug for no reason its the little things that matters.
