MOHS surgery for basal cell carcinoma

I recently was diagnosed with basal cell cancer in a lesion on my nose. I have been told that the best way to deal with that would be the MOHS surgical technique. This is a fairly long process where you stay in the doctor's office and they take small slices of the lesion until there is no more cancer. I was wondering if anyone has had this done, and how did it go? Thanks for any comments! Juanita
