Today we took my car to town because I needed to get some gas for next week. We had to go to 3 stations before we found Gas. The pumps are empty and we don't know when we will get more in our town. Is anyone else facing this in their area? We paid 3.85 a gallon for what we got.

I haven't seen anyone around here with that problem, but I have seen a few reports on the news about people having trouble getting gasoline, mostly in the Southern states. I hope that whatever the problem is in your area they fix it quickly. People who can't get gasoline often get way too angry and can do some silly things.

Yes when we were pulling out of the station this afternoon my husband made the comment we will probably need to invest in locking gas caps. But then again if they wanted it bad enough the cap not gunna keep them out. Thanks for the responce

It has been this way for a couple of weeks in GA. Gas is over 4 dollars a gallon. It has been this way since hurrican Ike. People here have been driving around for over an hour and then waiting for hour or so once they find a station that has gas. There have been people that are running out of gas while either looking or waiting in line. They are saying that we can expect this to go on for a couple more weeks.

oy vey hope people don't gett fired if they run out of gas and can't get to work. I guess we need to take my husbands truck and make sure it is full if we find a station that has gas. Maybe should take a couple of gas cans as well. Thanks for responding

Weird. Here we haven't had a gas shortage at all. Gas is still right about 3.60/gallon; hasn't budged in weeks.

My cousin is in California and they aren't out of gas either or having all the problems. I wonder why the South is.

I am in Louisiana. The only other place I have heard of gas problems is North Carolina.

I live in GA, and I have about a 1/4 tank of gas. On my way to church, I pass 4 gas stations no gas, at the fifth gas station there was a line. Well after church, I came back thinking I would certainly get some gas but I could not find any. I drove to another street where there are about 6 gas stations and no gas. I have enough gas to drive to the bus stop, but if there are no gas after I finish work I have no way to get home. The county I live in has no public transportation. I have to drive 20 mins to get on public transportation and it means my commute now is roughly 4 hours a day. I just start this temp job so I have to go to work. I am really frustrated. I don't understand why nothing has been done about this gas issue.

Kinda scarey really. We had to hunt for gas today again. My car is full thank God because we found gas for it yesterday. My husband has to get gas tomorrow on his way to work and he doesn't know if he'll find any between here and his job. I just don't understand how the government could let it get so bad. Where are our congress reps that we vote in? Isn't this what they get voted in for to keep our states running smoothly?

Hey shooie, shortage hasn't hit us yet here in sw florida but I heard something about expect it here. The report said something about Florida being affected, and Georgia was already experiencing shortages. Prices are about the same here 3.80 - 4.00 though Not a shortage... YET! Thank God for that.
