first of all when you get your new computer take some classes in English. also you will need a 2.4 GHrtz processor and at least 2 gigs of ram for gaming. i recommend a Toshiba satellite p3000 as it is customizable and you can get all of the spec you need.

I recommend Intel. My father will buy me a new PC this Christmas and I will tell him to but Intel Core 2 Extreme. It's a bit expensive but I'll really tell him because it's been 6 years since we last bought our computer. Also if you're a video maker/editor, have an SLI motherboard with two GeForce 9800 GTX. Always max out your RAM. If you're a gamer, 9800 GTX would do. Also Seagate Hard Drives are the best. Barracuda. Also the cooling should be good.

I assume from your replies, you are intending to get the parts individually and put them together instead of buying a readily-made one, right?
Between AMD and Intel, I'll pick Intel for gaming. I have an AMD but it isn't perfoming as well as I'll like it to. Intel Quad Core ought to be good, but I feel prices are a tad high now. So I'm waiting for them to fall.
As for which motherboard to go with it, its tough, since different motherboards support different processors. For the brand, I'll recommend MSI as quality has been quite satisfactory for me, especially since I've destroyed a motherboard and fried two video cards(ATI). There are also a couple of features you will want to consider while getting a motherboard, such as a whether it supports Crossfire or SLI or not and stuff. I suppose a Intel Quad Core motherboard should support all of the Intel quad core series, but it may not be the case, since I'm not really sure. If you are purchasing from your local computer hardware store, ask the guy whether the processor and motherboard support each other. If you are getting it from the internet, then I guess you'll have to email and ask the motherboard manufacturer.
Hope you'll like your new com!
