Is anyone totally fed up with the recent and upcoming remakes?

I'm so sick and tired of remakes! WHY WHY WHY? See, I'm a HUGE horror fan. And recently, the past few years, filmakers (if you can call them that) have been remaking some classics (and not so classics) and there's no reason for it! Most, if not all, are crap now. They (the new directors) miss the whole point of the movies, and just focus in on blood and gore and violence. Totally missing the undertone or meaning of the movie. I'm sick of the remakes! USE SOME CREATIVITY! Stop messing up classics!

I have the same feeling too. Perhaps there should be new blood, new directions who dare to take innovative measures.

LOL I can understand what you're talking about. The ring, the grudge, the eye, shutter and what's next. I wonder if they have lack of the horror ideas, they can get it from the novels, since there are many good horror novels too. You're giving the right point here, remaking movies just show the lack of creativity, and change the film maker into film remaker and money maker. That's sad
