Guys Share Your Thoughts About Social Networking

Hello! Aisa! Yes, you are very right that social net working sites such as mylot etc. help us get connected to each other without any hassels. It was not possible in the olden days. Internet has definitely brought us closer to each other and we can share our views, thoughts and opinion with others, who are sitting miles apart from others. We can get to know their culture and traditions and systems prevailing in their respective societies. I only prefer mylot for social networking. I've not find any other site better than this and rather do not explore new sites. Mylot is very user friendly and gives us great opportunity to get connected and share our feelings with each other. Till I joined mylot, I was not aware of the benefits of social net working sites. Had I not joined here, I would not have got such a kind, caring and sweet friend like you.

I don’t like social networking sites. I was once in orkut and that was the end of my social networking. Most sites (what I hear of them), are open places where people can just see each other profiles and leave comments and post crap. Maybe if I was younger I would have enjoyed this stuff, but now I find most of these sites and people here very immature, flippant and fake.

Hi asiaellis, I joined many sites after finding out mylot just thinking that all sites are like mylot (what a fool I am). Later I found out no one has any worth or I realized that I am least interested to those sites. So I stopped visiting there and now active only in mylot. I agree that social net working sites are giving an opportunity to know each other and can learn different cultures in the world. But I feel safe in mylot only and I learn many things from here and of course this is an international forum and chances for learning is high in this site too.

Actually myLot is not really a social networking site because you don't have the functionalities of searching for friends you know, etc. I'm in friendster, MySpace, Facebook, http://www.plurk.oyen Plurk. I don't regularly check any of them except for Plurk because of it Micro-blogging features and since it regularly updates my Facebook status. Thanks for the response on my discussion!
