If you're an atheist who believes in ghosts, how do you explain such phenomena?

God and ghosts are mutually exclusive. I don't know why you can't believe in one and not the other. My parents believe in God and ghosts. They had a ghost in their house that my mother and sister saw a number of times. It was a little Indian boy (as in native American). When my sister was around 10-12, he would come visit her, it seems he wanted to play. He would move her things in her room. At first she was scared but then she got used to it. They never felt it had anything to do with God.

actually i'm not an atheist..i don't believe in ghosts.. i believe in bad spirits..hmm.. they even exist.. in this world try to deceive the humans..and scare them off.. actually they try to show their own form..hmm..just to scare you off..were on the spirit world..i know that you can't get my point or something..it's kinda hard to explain..

Spirits and religion have no connection at all so your question really isnt difficult for any atheist to answer....

Taking atheism to mean the disbelief in a 'Cosmic grand-daddy' (?!) it is possible for atheists to believe in spirits. A good example would be witches, who supposedly communicate with the spirits but are atheists nonetheless, since they are mostly nature worshipers and don't worship a God out there to save them from hell.

All people who belive in god CANNOT belive in ghosts to fair. Read it up, I cannot explain it in good way. An I belive in ghost, because it's energy - same one we use to power our computer. It's just powering a people, right? I don't belive in God. I belive in reincarnation tho

Atheists don't believe in God or in a goldike creature.. And since ghosts aren't godlike, atheists can believe in them.. You can simply explain them with science.. Though with the science we have today it will not be possible, I think.. But if you are religious and say everything is created by god, then I can keep asking "why".. And you too will not have an answer to that.. Have a nice day..
