Initially cant be friend and wish to hate her forever, but when time past, not a big deal anymore. One more things to highlight is even me have no problem, but my wife have big concerns if i still be friend with my ex. So now the questions is not between me and ex but my lovely wife too. More headache. =P

I know people that have divorced and have managed to remain friends. They could not live with each other any more is why they split. If there are kids involved it would definitely be a positive for them to remain being friends. I am not sure how being friends could be a negative. Friends are a very important thing in a persons life and we need to have them.

Remaining friends really depends how the relationship ended. If they ended the relationship with mutual feelings to each other, then there will be a possibility that they will become friends still. But if the reason why they broke up because of infidelity, or other negative reasons, then, there might not be a chance of friendship.
