Hi,friends.I discover being a good teacher is not a easy thing.I have to prepare for my courses and ponder how to attract the student's attention in my class. After a month's hard work I finally have a chance to have a rest.
Next wednesday is National Day of China, and we have a 7 days'holiday in accordance with the national relevant regulation.I often go on a journey at this time when I was a student, but now I am too tired to travel. So I have no idea what will I do in the short holiday.
What will you do if you have a 7 day's holiday after a long and busy working day?

Oh a teacher's job is so tough! I am also a part-time teacher so I know how it feels! So it's China's National Day! Great and good for you dear. It's nice to know you are having a 7-day vacation. You deserve that. I also understand if you are too tired to travel. Maybe just a short travel in order to get some retreats. If I were in your place, I will shout Yahoooooo!!!! Given that long holiday, if I were in your place... I will travel with my family for a vacation in a beach. We love the beach. It has some magic on us. We love the serenity and relaxation it brings to our soul. So every time we have a longer vacation we really go to the beach and I tag along my twin grandchildren who love the beach so much. Certainly, it will days full of fun for all of use.

If i have a 7 days straight no work day, i will use it as a time for recreation and to travel on places ive never been. Maybe ill plan to spend that vacation on baguio city here in the philippines with my friends. Baguio city is a cold place. Ill plan the place were should i stay and the amount of money ill be bringing with me so that money wise i can control my spending power.

Hi! I am also a teacher. I am an Asian (a Filipino) working in the States, and I would love a 7-day holiday! It's really difficult to become a teacher, with all the responsibilities and the tasks at hand that need to be done. A 7-day holiday would be a welcome treat, and I will surely go out-of-state. I will either visit my sister in another state, or perhaps visit nearer states to mine, like New York City or New Jersey. Even if I'm tired, I can rest in the coach. There is a need for a change of scenery for me. Happy myLotting!

I'm a teacher, and it's really hard work. Many people think we don't do much at all, but few work this hard, or for so many hours each day. When I get a short vacation, all I want to do is relax and read things I don't have to grade!

I teach for an English Language School located in a university here in Thailand. We are the envy of foreing teachers here as we work seven, six-week terms a year which means we have a week break every six weeks. The only downside is that the main source of our income is derived by working a full weekend. I love it.

The first thing that I would do is head for the beach and sleep on the sand. LOL Yeah, that's about it. If I get a few days off, I would really love to find a place that is peaceful, quite and relaxing then I will go to sleep for hours. And, yeah, I will definitely hit the spa. After working so hard, I deserve a lot of pampering too. Sigh... when is that long vacation coming anyway?

Maybe I'll just take a rest on the first day or two then spend the rest of the week going places or if not going out with friends. I miss my friends so much since I started working and maybe if we have a break that long then we would have a lot of fun time together. I wish we could have that 7 day holiday too

I will plan my schedule in this 7 holidays, if we are very busy in our work i will try suggest you have to go out for some activities like mountain climbing to breathe in some fresh air on the mountain top although it is dangerous but it is very stimulate to us as a youngster, or u can have some sport activities like playing basketball, playing badminton, playing volley ball with your working partner, and spend a time with your family also. In these 7 holidays u can take two days to rest, because you have to work again after the 7 holidays. Thank you for sharing.

I'd probably take the time to sleep and rest mostly at home. Maybe it's time for the furniture to rearrange or the plants needs to be replaced. It's better to be with the whole family since everyday times flies so quickly.

I am a primary school teacher in England and so I know how tired out I can be after a busy term. Term ended on the Friday and I flew to Hong Kong on the Monday, then I flew on to Perth in Western Australia. On my way home I went to Singapore. I suggest that you look on the Internet for ideas of a destination for a few days like a coastal resort or a city. What you need is a relaxing time so that you will return home feeling happy and refreshed. How about three, four or five nights away from home in a comfortable guest house? If I had 7 days holiday I might take my children to Tunisia. My older son would love to explore Carthage. I wish you a happy time and lots of luck.

That's wonderful. I love long vacation. I won't have a travel this time because two months ago I just had an operation. Besides, it'll be very crowded everywhere because of the holiday. But it's good that I have a week to relax myself.
I love China

Congratulations on making it through your first month of teaching. Good for you. That's wonderful that you get 7 days off. Wow, how great. I think I would clean out my clothes closet, read a good book, take plenty of walks, cook something interesting at least one of the days, and see a movie. I might finish knitting a scarf I've been working on.
Hope you enjoy your time off, rytnlxm. It sounds like you deserve it.

If i know the such a long holiday two or three months before, i will start planning for a trip either with my dear or my family. Probably i will go to meet my dear.
It would be so relaxing to have continuous 7 days holiday.
Here in Malaysia, we will be having holiday on Wednesday and Thursday in because of Hari Raya (Muslim's celebration). We are hoping the government will declare an extra holiday on Friday.

I would use the time to do whatever it is that relaxes you. I would do something that you don't usually have time for. That way it would actually feel like a vacation. If there is family that you haven't seen in awhile that you would like to visit, perhaps that is one idea to consider. If you would rather just stay home and relax around the house, even that might seem like a vacation. Teachers work very hard. I admire you for choosing the profession. I hope you enjoy your vacation, however you spend it.

i will probably spend most of the 7 days at home, just staying with the whole family and sleeping as long as i wish. if there is no money limit for me, i will just use 1 or 2 days going out having fun. because i think after a long and busy working day, i need rest. for me, the most relaxing thing for me is being around my family and doing nothing else. instead, going out can be another kind of busy working for me
