Today on my way home, I saw a man bought old story books. Perhaps these might remind of his happy childhood. And some books will not be published again. So spending more money to buy these old books is the only one option. Will you buy these old books although they are much more expensive?

Really? old books are more expensive? I mean yeah I know that "ancient" and "really really old" books are expensive, priceless even, but I thought as the books get older, maybe 10 years older, they get cheaper and cheaper. Unless its one of those titles that are considered to be a collectors item or maybe a book by one of the bestselling authors at present, whatever time/date/year "present" might be.
As for your question, yeah, Id buy old books that would be a bit expensive. Id still consider the books worth and condition if I agree on the value or price set. Honestly I havent bought an old book that is expensive. I usually rummage through book sales whenever Im in the mood for reading, since that means I get to buy more books with the little budget that I have. Some people might not know it but there are lots of good books out there and some of them come at a cheap price.
Happy reading.^_^

Before I got addicted to the internet, I was a bookworm. I like reading books on different subjects at a time. Still I have a good collection of books on my shelf. I like to buy old books also. There will be some rare books in old book store. I fond of spending time in an old bookstore.
Old books give same information as the newone at a reduced cost. Well about buying rare old books, even if it costs a little high, it is really worth, I won't mind spending the money to own it.

Hi! I'm not a book collector but I love reading. So here's what I do: I purchase cheap books from Amazon.com, then exchange books with other people at Freecycle. I do these both online. Amazon has a variety of books, and I would normally find everything I wanted to read there. They are so cheap because they are used books but in good condition. I don't collect them so I just exchange at Freecycle or re-sell at Amazon. Happy reading!

I have never seen an old book that is more expensive than a brand new one... when i was still in college... i did not have enough money to buy brand new books so i just buy old one... and that is quite okay since the content are the same... even if the old ones are quite brown and old... i still have them at my mother's house... and i plan to get them when we move to a bigger apartment...

LOL, you are right. I just plain love books, i love the feel, the smell, the way they look and even if i cant read it, if it is a cook book i would still love it.And old books are even better than new ones because you know someone else enjoyed it before you.

If I'm spending money to buy old memories of mine, yes, i will. I think it's worth to do so.That would be something i want to keep forever.
Besides that, I will definitely spend my money to buy book for my dear, no matter how expensive it was.

Oh yes, Books are treasures. Besides the importance of as you expose that maybe will not be printed again, Books tend to get value and in the antique market you never know when you have bought a real Treasure. (Well some times you have an idea)
In Europe this is a fun thing to do on weekends: Hunt for used books.

Well, I would not buy just anything, but if I think it has a really strong memory and I think that it would be good for future generations, I might get it. I probably would not get it if it was more expensive ones though, only if they were used and cheaper.

Hi youless,
IF ever I really really like it, I will spend money to have it! But, I don't spend a lot of money really on books..I will just borrow in the library!
I have less collection when I was in College, some are gone because friends borrowed it and never returned it to me and some are in my Parent's house!

Well, I don't think there's any way I am gonna actually buy old books, unless I am a collector. Well, I believe books are a good way to call for memory and olden days that we enjoyed, by buying the older books of our time, but then, its always the cover page and the pages that matter - when the text matters more, always the books are available for free(yeah, almost all are!) on Internet. The only books that can bring back me the memory I like are the harry Potter boooks, but currently I am enjoying my life so much, that I don't want to remember the olden days. Its my life that I am enjoying continually, learning every moment, and feeling so GOOD!!! Every moment - myself is kinda dancing in joy and glee! Its such a nice feeling. I am happy that I am currently on this point of my life... what if I had not turned to this point and what if I was somehweher else... I guess I would have carried on, but right now, I feel I am at a point where I want to keep standing. I don't even want to move forward. Life is superb. If I can do anything to hold this in my memory, I don't think any book can do that, only MUSIC... I would rather buy music that could bring me memory. Of course, for collection I would buy the old books even if they are costlier, but I would suggest the music(atlesat for me) to bring the memory. I am feeling little different,I guess I will stop writing... I am feeling too good to write... anyways, hope you have a nice time, and keep lotting... Hope you can have nice time as me, or may be you are already having... but wish you good luck...
