Self-centered and compassion.

Sometimes I think that I'm doing things for myself all the time... without bothering about other people's feelings... But I just feel that everyone must work hard and strive for their dreams... Is it a nice world if everyone just have their own agenda and only start bothering about others when they are in great danger?

Will You do what is right and good? That's the only question. What good is there in pleasing the self temporarily when you inadvertently suffer the suffering of others? Why not strive to do what is for the better good and have the joy shared through helping others while at the same time pleasing yourself?
