hey guys just a random question.. do you usually let your water boil then drink it, or you drink directly from the tap? or even extreme, you only buy mineral water? for me, my family boils the water before drinking. but singapore's water is so clean, sometimes when i'm outside and i'm thirsty, i don't really mind!

no. we do not drink tap water anymore.. water around the place is not really safe for drinking we just buy water in gallons (purified water).

so its a practice not to drink plain boiled water in your place.. wouldn't that be quite costly if you have to constantly buy?

When I was still living with my parents, we get our drinking water from a manual water pump wherein we make use of a manual machine to pump water from underground. Then we boil this water before we can use it for drinking and cooking. Now that I have moved into my own home, we get our water from the faucet. Unfortunately, the water from faucet isn't clean sometimes, so we bought a water purifier so we can purify our water first before drinking and use it for cooking.

If it is out of the faucet, I will boil it.. But, I only do this when I want something cold to drink! I will then put it in a plastic pitcher, once the water has cooled off. I only do this at other times.. It is not a daily thing for me.

I've been boiling water since my baby was born 7 months ago. I found out that our tap water isn't clean as it looks, so when my daughter was born I decided I didn't want her to drink tap water unless I either buy bottled water or just boil it. I just recently started boiling my own too. It's bad enough almost everything we eat isn't good for us, at least I can drink something that won't kill me too quit.
