How great was that? I miss the good old days when the toy came in the box and not the ones like now where you have to send money for it (like you didn't just spend a fortune on 3 boxes of over priced cereal to get the UPC's you need now they want more money?).
I used to love opening up a new box and digging for that toy. Aw the joys of childhood days.

Must just be my area where you can't find them. I look too cause I am so nostalgic I would buy the cereal just for the thrill of getting a toy, at 37 years of age!!! LOL

Wow the only ones I ever see now days you have to mail in money for. When my daughter was little (she is 18 now) General Foods brand offered the little golden books with the box for about a month but that was atleast 10 or more years ago. Haven't seen anything but mail in offers in our area for years.

Yeah I remember that. I was not much of an eatter as a kid. As a matter of fact I didn't eat much at all. I would want the cereal so I could just dig in the box to get the toy. I didn't know you had to send money to get the toy these days. That really sucks for kids. I can't believe companies are actually that cheap now.

Yes they are that cheap! And then you have to wait 6-8 weeks to get the toy in the mail.

It's all down to a fear of getting sued by some stupid who eats the toy I guess. I remember when the toy was actually in the cereal, then it was in a plastic packet in the cereal, and now it's not here are all.
Admit it, those plastic toys were generally rubbish anyway, but they were fun to find. Parents with more than one child used to hate them though, as the kids would always fight about who got to find the toy! I know I always did ;-)

True I think of them often, the small plastic toys that built into some sort of collection, and then you had to buy more packets of the cereal to try and get more of the collection,or lol do a swap shop at school ans see if anyone had one of the toys that you needed. But cereal is overpriced now,the cereal has gotten to fancy, and thats why its so dear.
