I am a Filipino blogger for more than a year and I notice that more and more Filipinos are getting interested in blogging. Although some of them are personal blogs or engaged in PTC sites, the number of serious blogs are astonishingly increasing. This is probably due to the characteristics of Pinoys being very hospitable, sociable and can communicate well in English. In case you do not know, the term "blog" is now starting to be a household name in tv shows and commercials. With this, what do you think about the future of blogging in the Philippines? 5 years from now? Do you think it will boom like what happened to cell phone that we thought before that it is only for the rich and elite? Although this post seem to be for Filipinos only, everyone is invited to join as long as you post useful comments. Thanks!

I think it will continue to flourish since Filipinos are sentimental and like to record and write about their special moments, thoughts, ideas and opinions on anything under the sun. Also, blogs can be monetized that's why it would appeal much to the Filipinos and to Internet buffs in general. I, for one, have my own blog at http://myvirtualwebsite.com which is my own domain and on several free blogs sites such as blogspot and wordpress.

Blogs are almost everywhere in the world, and there are so many from each countries that it's practically hard to keep track of them.. I guess the future of blogging is wide and that it should only become more popular and it won't die down.. BEcause there are so many uses for blog, from business use, to promoting and personal dairy, everybody is using it for some reason or other.. PLus for ple whom really meant to blog, it will be good for them because as long as they are online, they can input their thoughts at anytime of the day, and even have a few entries everyday ^_^ As compared to writing a dairy, blogging is much more convenient ^_^

Nice add. I agree with you about the convenience a blog can give. You can express anything and let the world know about it. By the way, I send you a mail asking some questions. Hope you can have time to reply from there. (Pls. avoid putting your reply here as it is not a related topic) thanks!
