Hey there, I do weight watchers and found a very reasonable 3 point slice pie.
My question is why does it have a funky bitterness on the back of the tongue sort of after taste. Here are the ingredients I used:
Pumpkin, ff evaporated milk, egg substitute, salt, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and splenda. Would so appreciate the help, I am going to try again today if I get a tip.
Thanks so much,
Liebchen
P.S. I love pumpkin too..everything pumpkin...my hubby even started calling me punkin when we were dating awwe :)

I love pumpkin too!. I have never had pumpkin stew! What is
that like? Sounds intersting! I love the smell of pumpkin
candles. I make pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie. I never had
roasted pumpkin seeds either. I didn't know you could roast
them and eat them. This is very interesting and important
information for a pumpkin lover! Thanks sweet! I will
definitely have to try these things out. Please tell me
about pumpkin stew. I would love to try that too.

Pumpkin stew is very easy you are going to cube your roasted pumpkin (I cube it then roast it in the oven till tender but firm still you don't want mush) place it in your stock pot or big pot with carrots (cut in pieces), onions, potatoes and tomatoes. Brown your stew meat (or take a steak and cut it into chunks) add it to the veggies, with one can of beef broth and one small can of pumpkin (not the kind with spices added just the plain) and one to two cans of water. Add salt and pepper to taste a dash of nutmeg, a dash of cinnamon and let it cook till meat is done and tender and veggies are tender. It is yummy.

I love pumpkins and other squashes too. I've two gorgeous looking dark orange pumpkins sitting in my pantry just now, waiting for me to decide what to do with them. I didn't plant many this year, so I'll have to savour them!
Pumpkin soup is one of my favourite ways of using pumpkins, particularly with egg noodles in. Another favourite way I have of using them in is a veggie crumble topped with cheese.
I never bother saving the pumpkin seeds myself. I do like eating them, but preparing them to eat as seeds always seems like allot of bother to me when my chickens enjoy them so much as they come.

No, I tasted a pumpkin pie before and it tasted stale and very bitter.. There was no taste to it.. Many people say that it tastes really good. But from what I have tasted, I beg to differ! If someone makes it the right way, I may think about eating it one more time.

Yes, I enjoy fresh pumpkin. I like to gather the seeds, some I roast and some I plant. I get several pumpkins and cook the meat then freeze it for later use as in pumpkin soup, pumpkin bread, muffins, pancakes. I'll save some chunks and cook it like potatoes. Fresh pumpkin with fresh garlic and green onion is delectable. Of course I like pumpkin in pies and cakes but it makes a wonderful unsweetened side dish to compliment most any meal. The aroma of pumpkin quickly fills my home and I really enjoy that. Yes, I like pumpkin very much.
