i'll write from you my favourite italian dishes (i am italian). tell me if you know and if you like them.
PESTO SAUCE:
pesto is made with genovese basilic, salt, garlic, oil, european pine nuts and a great hard cheese called Parmigiano Reggiano. this sauce dresses pasta.
PANETTONE:
it is a typical bread of Milan usually prepared for Christmas and New Year. it is served with "crema di mascarpone", a cream made from mascarpone cheese, eggs, and a sweet liqueur called Amaretto
RAVIOLI:
it is a type of filled pasta composed of a filling sealed between two layers of thin pasta dough. Ravioli is often topped with red tomato sauce or pesto.

Yup i have tasted twice..but i am not much fan of it...because i am from india so i love spicy stuff rather then mild dishes as italian...i tried many non-veg items..its so creamy and mild so i didn't like that much as indian food and chinese food..:)

I went to Nepal and there I tried lots of dishes similar to indian ones..!! they taste very good.. I love spicy and hot dishes... I remember that I liked very much Asian cuisine in particular chinese cuisine and sushi.. Here in Italy there are several oriental restaurants, but the dishes are very different from those I ate in Asia.. Infact, lots of people disgust them

It's hard not to like Italian food. i pretty much like all of it. I cant think of any that I dont like. I have had all of the above except for the amaretto ravioli.
I like all of the other stuff. Italian food is very succulent and something that I like almost anyway. I wish I was Italian just for the food.

I love Italian food ♥ ♥ ♥ My grandmother was born in Italy. Home made ravioli, I haven't had those since I was a kid. Pesto is really good. I carry on the family tradition of serving the Christmas Eve Feast, with all the seafood, pasta and salads. i use a lot of pesto in that one. The Panettone I don't do, but grandma did.
