Does anyone know how to or might have any ideas on how to make a wheelchair for a kitten who's back legs do not work? i ask this because i have a 4 month old kitten who's back legs are paralyzed and my fiancee has tried to make one from scratch but i dont think the materials are working. does anyone here know how to do it, we want him to have one because maybe he may learn how to walk since the vet told us that he has a chance of learning how to walk. any help is very very much appreciated. also we have checked google and nothing has come up for us everything is dog size and not kitten size.

i don't know your kitten's size, but check kids' toy stores and maybe try something like a tonka toy truck with an attached bed. separate the cab and bed and maybe use a pet leash with some elasticity to attach to the toy and the kitten's belly. since it's a kitten, gotta be careful that the attachment isn't too heavy to pull. good luck with this one. also, hold your kitten and exercise her back legs tenderly, moving them so they'll bend at the joints.

thank you for your response. we have actually been giving him leg exercises and he is very stiff but once he bends it (with our help moving them) the stiffness disappears, but until he gains some muscle mass he may be able to hold himself up on the legs. i will deffinately look into the truck idea. he isnt that big yet so that just may work. i think the attachment would be good for him since he has a really strong upper body since that is what he is using to get around the house is his front legs and he is fast.lol thank you so much for the help, i did not think about using a toy like that. :)

I'm thinking maybe a skate wheel attached to a kitty harness of some sort? That way hopefully he will be able to gain enough strength to hopefully walk without it before too long. I'm thinking the skate wheel should be light enough as well to make it fairly easy to roll with her. Michele
