What could be the reason behind for not attending the college?

Recently one of my friend's relative, he is doing 2nd year engineering. He has stopped going college since 2 months and finally college HOD called his father and asked him why your son is not coming college? but father didn't knew this because his son use to go everyday morning and come back by evening. Now his son doesn't what to college with out any reason. why no body knows and he is not ready to tell why. Even they took him to psychiatrist, as of now doctor also failed to get info from him why he don't want to go college? what could be the reason behind this strange behavior?

Maybe he's just bored. More likely, he sees himself as a failure anhe's unwilling to take it any further, for shame. He might just need a change of pace or a vacation, or a job!

He don't want to go college but he want's do continue hie education at home itself.
