Get buy some baby sized or child sized (depending on how big you want them) mittens and fill with potpourri. Tie the top closed with some pretty festive ribbon. I thought this sounded like a good inexpensive gift for teachers or secret sisters or even to just make a bunch up for those who drop by with a gift unexpected so you won't be caught empty handed. Don't forget to make some for yourself too :)

That does sound like a cute little idea. I always like that magnet holders though. that is my favorite. First you get a clothes pin, and whatever you want the decoration to be. For instance a piece of construction paper in shape of Christmas tree. You blue it on the clothes pin, and put a magnet on the back of the clothes pin, and you have yourself a cute little note holder. My children and I always make cute little crafts for the family members for Christmas, last year we made picture frames. They were so adorable, we made them out of cardboard, and construction paper with glitter gel pens, and tensil. We put the childrens picture in it and gave it to family members, it was really cute. There is tons of cute things that are great gift ideas. Great discussion.

What a cute idea! My ex sister in law made something like that with little fish bowls, one year. You can find all kinds of containers at the 99 Cent store, or the dollar store. Potpourri is always a nice little , just in case, gift.

What a cute idea! I think I'll have my grandson (in kindergarten) make those for his parents for their coat closet. That would make a really cute gift for him to give. Gramma here has him make something for them for their birthdays, anniversary, Christmas, etc. I think he'll really enjoy picking out the potpourri at the Dollar store, and stuffing those little stretchy gloves. He's learning how to tie (shoes) right now, so adding a tie at the top will make it extra special. Thanks for sharing!

That's so sweet. Make a bunch and let him practice on them. I think a little lopsided bow that he tried to tie himself will make the gift even more special. I make my son make his own present for his dad and my best friend every year and when my little girl gets old enough, she'll do the same. I think it's really special and teaches them something valuable.

You can also put potpouri in a jar and put a string of clear lights in it and leave the plug in out and put like a peice of net over the top for when the light is on you can smell the potpuri smelling so good and it is not very expensive to make.

That sounds like a great idea. It's easy to do and doesn't cost much. I can go to the local Dollar Tree and get the potpourri, maybe even the gloves. That is a very clever idea. :D

What a really great idea. It's perfect for those office gift giving things or other such where a small gift is necessary.

Sounds like they'd make great gift toppers too, and ornaments - cute!

I love watching Nigella Feast. It's a cooking show hosted by Nigella herself and the last time I watched it, she featured some interesting sweets that can be wrapped as Christmas gifts. One is the preserved peaches. She just put the preserved peaches on a transparent jar with a nice cover and then put ribbons on it. I love peaches so I think I will try out some recipes to make preserved peaches on Christmas. One thing that I think I will be having a hard time is looking for the jars that are not that expensive. And then she also baked some good looking fudge brownies and put them on a transparent plastic with nice golden star prints and then ribboned it with a nice golden lace. They really looked amazing and delicious.
