What were your views on the LHC . Do you think when it finally start pounding protons against each other it will cause anything disastrous . After watching differed specials on TV and researching this machine a bit , I am still rather skeptical . I am known to be a paranoid worry wart. So what are your views? I know this is old news , but I am still scared about this.

After doing numerous researches on this before they turned it on, they have said that the event of a black hole is slim to none. If a black hole is caused, it may be too small to worry about and will fall into itself before anything happens.

yeah i heard that the black holes will be unstable and collapse in on itself . One fellow has mentioned we may not feel anything for about 4 years , and then there might be a quasar that takes out the earth . Doomsday mongers get me going sometimes . I think its the mother instinct in me to worry as much as I do .

I know how you feel. I still feel a little uncomfortable thinking about it because I don't want anything happening- but we still have a long time to go before we thinking of throwing "Bye Bye" parties

I thought about it and finally concluded that if it makes a black hole or something, life will end rather quickly and we'll all go to whatever reward is waiting. It'll be quick and painless, so why worry? Life life to the fullest, love as much as we can and make the most of each moment. Because it can end at any time. Personally, I'd love to know a little more about the process God used when He created all this. I'll know when I die, I'm sure, but it'd be nice to get a peek while I'm still alive.

yes the god particle does have my geek glands churning a bit . I do hope it to prove to be a major accomplishment in the science community . Life is too short or too long depending on how you look at it . I still can not help but worry ..
