My eldest daughter who is a teenager who loves parties and Dancing, refused to have a party for her B'day. I was surprised as she is a party lover and when I asked her why? She said that there are so many who does not have money to eat and buy books and other things to continue their studdies while we spend money on parties. After having a long chat with her I got to know that there is a girl who is in her class who finds it difficult to buy books and other stuff even though she's good at studdies. Her B'day too falls on the same day as my daughter. This poor girl's father who was a tea plucker had passed away during last holidays and she is going through a bad time. So my kid wanted me to spend all the money which we were going to have a party to give the things that she wants to continue her studdies. So we did and that day my kid came with a big smile and said mom, you should have been there to see her face! She was so happy making someone else feeling happy. She said that it was the best gift she ever got. What have you got to say?

I am proud of your daughter, she is conscious about helping other people, she has a golden heart and I am so touched by her gesture. I appreciate kids who have the heart to sacrifice themselves just to help others, you have a good daughter. I hope all kids are like your daughter.

hi thanujad I say good for you for being a great mom who' raised a fine young lady, and good for your daughter for caring for her poor class mate. what a wonderful thing to do for her, and I will bet that child is really so grateful to your daugher. she found that making someone else happy is an ultimate turn on, better than a fancy party for herself. she is learning to care about others full time. What a wonderful daughter you have raised. be proud of her and of yourself too. good on you both.

you should be so proud of your daughter for being so grown up and making such a responsible and mature decision! wow, that's awesome! teenagers are typically so into themselves and in their own little world that it is so neat to hear something like that. you should really be thankful to have raised such a great person- it says alot about the job you did! :)

u should feel proud for u;r daughter as she has that good nature and cancelled her birthday party and wanted to help her freind. and i was also happy that u also agreed her and make u;r child more helpful person in the world . thanks to u also in helping her. all will not in this mind . we should help poor and disabled people within our budget. then there will no poverty in all countries. hatsoff to u'r kid. instead of spending on parties and unneccessary things , we should help people who are in need of money. u should feel proud and great for u'r kid ,at this age she is thinking in a matured mind and helping her poor friend.

Yes I'm proud of her. I think parents should guide their children in a proper way to make this world a better place.
