I live in Indonesia, and yes, I have to wear uniform in school. My school uniform is a little bit different from the national school uniform because I studied in the private school. But still... uniform is a uniform. I hate uniform it made me look silly having the same clothing with people around.
I always wonder how would it be if I studied in a school where we don't have to wear any uniform. I mean, what's the use of wearing uniform? Uniform doesn't brings people together. Even I hate uniform because it is a form of making people the same, suppressing the creativity of children.

i've heard this before in a talk...
that wearing casual in school will suppress the mood and their creativity...
this is because of the different colours of the shirt...
the colour will effect your brain in a good way...
example...
light green...
it can calm you when you are in stress...
is'nt it is good???
huhu...

Yes, here in the Philippines, we wear uniforms also. There are some plans before of not requiring this especially for public schools. But I don't think that it will apply. I feel that not having uniform for going to school will be more expensive than having to buy 3 or four sets of uniform one time every year. When schools don't have uniforms, students will just build a culture according to how everybody dresses, there will be a threat of being judged depending on the kind of clothes you wear. Not all colleges in the Philippines does not require uniforms anymore. Like in my college. We are required to wear school uniforms except on Wednesdays. Wednesdays is our wash day, we can wear casual but not revealing clothes. I feel that this is a good system also. It is a way of having a standard look among students, also a good way of letting other people know that the college exist.

in the U.S.A most schools don't require uniforms... Yet my parents always seemed to be able to land me in the schools that did lol I think I only went to one school that did not require a uniform. Aside from when I was home schooled that is.

In the Philippines, uniform are a must in high school. SOme schools don't require it but most do anyway. In college, we don't have to wear a uniform anymore. Again, some schools require that you do but majority of college students don't need to wear uniforms. They do adhere to a certain dress code though. I actually like uniforms. It helps me save time in choosing what to wear every day. :)

here in the philippines, most of the schools are requiring their students to wear uniforms. i guess that's better because we don't have to spend a lot of time thinking which one to wear. i guess it's good if it's implemented in all schools. lol. a lot may hate it though.=D
