while driving do you keep both feet busy

i have this habit of controlling the speed and break paddle with my right foot and constantly keeping my left foot on the clutch paddle.. is it a good habit? what about you? any advises!!

i think it is a must mate ;) one foot for the clutch and the other for speed & brakes as you can do one action with them at a time while you need the clutch in both cases ;)

means i am doing no harm to driving han i once read that keeping the left foot constantly on the paddle can effect your responsiveness and you kinda get lazy with it.. i tried it out too but couldn't change that habit of mine

you can have an automatic car if you want to getrid of this habbit ;) but with a normal car i think it is imposible!

i never met any accident or even made a mistake with that habit but just wanted to know about it and now i think that most do the same and are successful as well!!

I think that's fine. It's always best to be ready when you need to shift up or down especially when you're trying to control your speed. Also, a lot things happen unexpectedly on the road and you need to be able to react as soon as possible. Having that habit could prevent engine chugs and you'd have more control. After years of driving, I still have my left foot ready on the clutch pedal. I tend to shift a lot.
