is this new for you? i man we all know that mashed potatoes comes with a gravy right? but have you ever tried eating mashed potatoes in a different way? i do! :)
when i was a kid i always have the habit of choosing a different food aside from the food that was served in the table. as a brat, my mom would prepare me mashed potatoes. she used to tell me that when i was still 5-8 months old this is the food that she prepares for me. she would boil potaotes until she could mash it, put powedered milk & sugar on it. until now whenever i'm craving for mashed potatoes, i would prepare this. how about you, have you tried this food before? or are you willing to find out the taste of it?

hi mapi26, my dear freind, this is not at all new for me becasue my family is eating this dish since their origin i believe. my grandmother , who is 83, when ever is on fast, she takes this with a cup of hot milk in the end of the day. we often enjoy eating this as a dish seperately also. i also give this to my daughter who is just ten month old. she loves potatoes and whatever i prepare with potatoes she loves to eat. she eats very little but she eats and that is the main thing. she dont llike too much of sweet things but when i serve her this, she likes. i also love ot eat it. and i am eating this since my childhood.its a lovely dish and think is loved by all th generations and to easy to make.

I have never heard of this one. I sometimes add milk and a little sugar to white rice just for a change, but mashed potatoes.... I'll have to think about trying that.

i've never heard of this before.
do you think it was to mimic the taste of sweet potatoes?
probably not. because at 5-8 months old, people used to take
honey and put on things as a child will gravitate toward
a sweeter taste.
my mom would just use milk and butter on ours. we didn't
always have gravy.

good point, could be to imitate sweet potatoes. i think i'll try what you have just said about adding butter, that sounds delicious. maybe that's also one reason why my mom puts milk & sugar, to replace gravy. i understand it's not that easy to prepare gravy everyday. happy mylotting! :)
