Have you ever learned a skill online?

Yes, I think I kind of have. I've recently discovered cake decorating. I'm just now taking classes, but before I did, I made about 4 cakes or so, just by what I learned on cake websites, and I think most turned out pretty well.

Skills, I think not but a new program, yes! I was browsing the net one time looking for the what is latest in the field of mathematics when I came across Geometer's Sketchpad. I downloaded it and learned how to use it online. Soon after learning it, I was sent by the school to attend a regional seminar and guess what's the seminar for, none other than a seminar on how to use a sketchpad! I feel proud because even though I was the youngest participant, I was the only one who knows how to use it even before the seminar started.

I learned communication skills. How to search and find just about anything and how to save money and make money. Which I wouldn't have been able to do without internet.

to be honest i dont think i have just yet altho at the moment i am very interested in the world of the paranormal and angels so am thinking about reading up on that on the net and maybe joining some chat rooms that i have heard about and trying to develop my knowledge etc as for lerning accademic skills tho i have yet to try this, as i have no desire to at the moment i have a very busy life, i work part time and have 2 children so time i get is not much

I don't think I have obtain a skill form internet, But I did learn a lot from it :)

Yes, I actually learned how to do HTML coding from an internet site that taught you how to do it. It offered the lessons for free, and it was a wonderful course. There are a lot of good places on the internet for learning a new craft, or skill, and surprisingly, a lot of them offer it for free.
