GIMP or Photoshop?

Which is better GIMP or Photoshop? I am just a casual user, not yet at professional level.. Which 1 is easier to use as well?

Personally I LOVE GIMP. It does just about anything Photoshop can, and it won't cost you a small fortune! Personally, I'm a big fan of open source software.

It isn't as user-friendly as photoshop, that's true. There are some really great tutorials online though. Here's a great link to get you started: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/
