Mayo is a good option, alot of people really enjoy that.
Personally nothing beats malt vinagar and salt on fries, not really a dip, but still its yummy.
My ex wife was fond of Ketchup and Gravy (first the Ketchup then gravy all in one dip), personally I thought it was revolting, but hell, to each his own.

I love fries too. There's ketchup if you like, then ketchup with mayo. I have tried dipping it in ceasar's salad dressing. I also tried gravy that comes with the fried chicken when you order in a fastfood. And I once fooled around in a McDonalds resto and dip the fries in a sundae. The kids next table were shocked but they ordered fries and sundae LOL

Fries with gravy is very common around here, in fact we take it one step further. In Quebec they started a dish called Poutine, and if you ever get a chance I highly recommend it. Basically the dish is this:
Take one plate of hot fries
One generous portion of cheese curds
Cover the fries in the cheese curds
smother the whole thing in piping hot beef gravy
The fries and gravy melt the curds to a gooey goodness. Sure its a heart attack on a plate, but it sure is yummy.

yeah i knew the feeling. its always taste better with mayo or combo mayo & ketchup. exploring different dips makes me always happy though it make the kids have acomic facial expression like ewwww.

I too love fries, whenever i'm eating fries i would love dipping it on sweet ketchup w/ mayo or sundae or any ice cream. Really yummy, i think you should try it dear friend. tc always

I also like french fries. In a normal condition, like when I am in a restaurant and all, I like to dip my french fries in chili sauce, but I added some salt before I really dip it into it. But in special occasion, like when I went to mcDonald for a junk food day, I would like to dip my french fries in the soft vanilla ice cream.
I know that it was weird and gross for some people, but for me it was really delicious. And somehow, I found out that there are many people in myLot has tried to dip it in the ice cream too and they also found it really great.
I think, if you haven't try it, you have to try it at least once. If you are scared of so many mixing taste, you can try with vanilla first, because vanilla is the most usual and plain. And if you want to have some variation, you can try the chocolate or the sundae (vanilla with some chocolate topping)
