I believe you are right. It should be interesting to see.

I will be watching but I believe it's going to be Palin's downfall. I'm just wondering how many times she's going to say that she'll "get back to ya".

That was good. Hopefully she will be a little more prepared this time?

I think this debate has the potential of being the most-watched political event in TV history! Heck, it might even rank among the most-watched even of any kind. I'm a bit confused by what I've been hearing from pundits from both sides of the aisle on TV; some think everyone's underestimating Palin and others are setting the bar so low that if she makes it through without making a total idiot of herself she'll be declared the winner by a landslide! On the other hand, many commentators have similar advice for Biden which is to say very little and let Sarah talk a LOT...lol!
I think everyone who knows me here know which one I'll be rooting for but I honestly hope Sarah doesn't make it too hard to watch. I can't change her knowledge of the issues, or lack thereof, but if I could advise here, here are a few things I'd say:
1/ Just because you're a woman doesn't mean you can't be soft-spoken and avoid being loud and, sorry I have to say is, downright shrill. This is one way in which Hillary has improved 1000% since since she first ran for the Senate but looking back she was absolutely flawless compared with Palin.
2/ Probably many if not most of us here at myLot speak less than perfectly in our person lives, dropping our "G's" and saying words like "gotta", "gonna", "hafta", etc. but when someone is literally appearing on the international stage I think it's important to try to speak more properly.
3/ Try to really listen carefully to the questions that are asked to hopefully avoid going off in some random direction that has nothing to do with the subject at hand.
4/ Limit how many times you repeat specific "talking points". "I told Congress thanks but no thanks" should probably put retired.
Needless to say, I don't expect any of these points to be taken by Palin on Thursday night, but I can dream, can't I?

I think these are the two most critical points. She's stammered in interviews because she tries to answer quickly. I watched an interview with Bill Clinton today where he was asked a question about Obama's association with Rev. Wright. He sat calmly and considered his words before speaking. She MUST learn to do that. Of course, Bill did nothing to defend Obama. I personally found that amusing (way off-topic).
She needs to forget EVERYTHING she said in her RNC speech. It was a great speech, but she can't beat that horse. She should also forget any and every talking point given to her by the campaign advisers. They're not her words and they don't sound like her words. She has to be herself.

That is some really good advice. I think she is actually being advised much differently. I believe her advisers think that the way she talks will make her seem real to us and we can relate to her. They are playing up the fact that she is a woman and looking at her flaws as if she were a five year old and saying "Aww isn't that cute."
I think we would rather see a female candidate who is just as strong as the men in all aspects.

I really think it will be interesting. I think Palin will surprise people. It has to be better than Friday's snoozefest that ended in a draw. The key to winning is that at some point, when Biden is talking about his policies,Palin MUST say "You know what Joe? You can put lipstick on a pig..." That will make the highlight reel if she says it.

I think it will be like driving past the scene of an accident. Nothing personal against the lady but I think she is going to get slaughtered.
I would like to see her prove me wrong.

I will definitely be listening to it. I am not sure that I will have access to television to actually watch it (would love to though) but I do know that CNN and Potus 08 will both be airing the debate live on XM radio. I will definitely listen, and hopefully will hear something worth listening to.

It would be nice if this debate were to shock us all. It should at least allow people the opportunity to get to know Palin and make up their minds.
