Maybe it's because I live in Miami, which some people call North Havan, but I LOVE Cuban food of all kinds. I just can't figure out why there's a Cuban anywhere who is not diabetic. There's a ton of sugar used!

We have a Jamaican restaurant in our area and I have to say I really like the curry chicken with beans and rice. I had never had green curry before and don't like hot curry, so I was a little nervous at first. But, omg, it was WONDERFUL!! I'm long overdue to eat there again. I also like Cuban Ropa Vieja and Venezuelan Hallacas. But, I especially love fried bananas (platanos), not the maduros where they are smashed flat and fried hard, but the ones that are pan fried and still look like bananas, with a lightly crispy surface and a wonderfully sweet, soft interior. Excellent! Jerk chicken is pretty good, but really hot food I don't enjoy, so if it's more mild with a bit of heat, I enjoy it a lot.
