Shared Reviews is stopping payments

I have been paid SharedReviews every month and I was due another payment at the end of August. In September I received an email explaining the cause of the delay, but I had already read the announcement in the forum, so it was not unexpected. As from now the site is not paying for reviews or votes, until everyone has been paid what they are owed in earnings up to the end of September. There will be some new opportunities for members on the site, so I am interested to see what develops. Sites can only pay their members when they themselves receive money from the adverts, so there is always a delay. The guys at SR had been using some of their own money to pay members, but can understandably no longer afford to do this. I hope SharedReviews will continue as it is a good community site and I will continue to participate there.

I did blog about them stopping their payments quite a while back. If you read their forum announcements, you'll realise that they said that they have been having funding problems for quite a long time. Also, while they'll stop paying memmebrs starting from October 1st, it appears to be more a measure for the time being, rather than something they are commiting to long-term. However, I'm not too optimistic about their prospects.

I never got paid from them. I wrote several reviews and never got a dime. It made me pretty mad. I write for another site now reviewstream and I am very close to payout. They just rejected my review the first one out of about 40 so I hope they are not trying to do something like that also. I'm going to think positively aboout it.
