I dont think so. I prefer to drink safe water from the tap or bottled one rather than rain water. I prefer to use rain water for other purposes such as watering the plants or else washing the car but not for drinking purposes. Its not safe in my opinion.

Hi, bombshell. I never thought that it was healthy to drink. It comes from out of the clouds that is in the air from the sky... I don't think that it is as healthy as drinking water. Rain is not purified. I have heard that it is healthy and normal to drink rain. But, I know that I would not try this.

distilled water underwent the same process as making rain. However, the air is so polluted that it isn't as pure as it probably used to be so it isn't safe. But I know someone who collects morning dew on the leaves (not the grass beside the cow dung LOL) and drinks it. he says it tastes like mineral water, only a bit more bitter. I really don;t know. I haven;t tried.

i read that drinking rain water is good. however, i also read about acid rain and that the first rainfall for a long time is not good to drink. so, just to be on the safe side since there might be other cons they haven't figured out with drinking rain water, i just settle for the bottled regular water .

Hello friend! How are you at this point of time! I'm catching up a bit here because I wasn't able to visit here for days I think! :0) Anyhow, I am here and glad to see your discussion again.. I believe that due to our bad condition in terms of environmental aspects, rain is still a subject for some tests to determine wether its still safe for drinking purposes.. :0) have a great day! miss yah! take care always!

Hi BombshelL, I have tried when I was a child but forgotten how it tasted like . But I still love to walk in the rain and feel the rain on my face. I think it wouldn't be a good idea to consume them directly from the atmosphere but as long as after the filter process and boiling , it will be safe enough to drink. And I have observe too, dogs and cats drink from puddles of rainwater but surprising they still look ok. I wonder what's the mystery perhaps they have a better & stronger immune body system? Cheers and happy posting!

No, I do not think that rain is safe to drink but I do because there is no result of any problem about rain water..... but my wife who encountered rain often in the Philippines she said that it is safe to drink the rain for we do not have rain water here in Kuwait it is very rare for that reason I am thinking that it is not safe....

Nope i havent tried it drinking rain water. I dont know if its healthy but ive heard before that some people drink rain water. They have to filtered so that its clean and they can drink it. But for sure nowadays drinking rain water is not that safe not like before. There are lots of pollutions and there are acid rains right?

only way I would drink it here is if I boiled it. To much junk in the air here and when it rains here ya can smell all of it in the air mostly it is settling the dust!

This seems a controversial subject. I was always taught never to drink water coming down from a well. It depends where the water is stored, if the well is clean or not. Here is a related article which you might find useful. http://www.harvesth2o.com/rainwater_safe.shtml

Hi bombshell, When I was in High School, our Chemistry teacher told us that it is very healthy for the skin especially for the face... ANyway, I have tried drinking when I was a child but when I will just use my own hands to get some rain water direct from the atmosphere not form anywhere else, it might not be safe! I am not sure if it is really healthy!
