Mac or PC

Which do you prefer, I am buying my daughter a computer for college, almost a month late, I finally made enough cash. Well she wants a mac but Im not sure if thats suitable for college, what do you guys think?

It depends on your requirement.. but mostly students prefer pc than mac.

get her the mac.. i recently got my own mac to replace my ageing acer laptop, now i'm thinking to replace my new desktop to a mac also.. i'm thinking to get a mac mini so i can still use the monitor and keyboard..

Mac's are certainly suitable for college, depending on her courses of course. You can get MS Office for Mac just as you can for PC, if anything its more stable on mac because macs are just better ;). Seriously though you should always base the decision on what system to buy based on the uses, I know you said college but that could mean a range of things, if she is taking alot of business courses it might be best to buy a PC, however for the most part a mac can do anything a PC can do but will cost less to maintain.

Well, I prefer a PC, but it depends on what her studies are like, what software she will need for her classes, as well as her personal preferences. Since I don't really know any of that, I probably can't answer this question very well. Sorry!
