Strictly posting 'bump' for that purpose I'm sure is against the rules.
If you have something interesting to say, by all means do it. The result will be the same, but you won't be breaking any rules.

Exactly.
Just posting 'bump' is common on other message board type forums, and that wouldn't be cool to do here on myLot.
But absolutely post what you have to say, no matter how old the original discussion is.

I don't see why not. Just because it's old doesn't mean people wouldn't like to see it! I really appreciate it when people respond to my old discussions, because others see it and add their opinions. Go ahead and BUMP!!

I think it is a good idea. The new people may have not seen the old discussion. You can't go through all of them and maybe there is someone new that has something to add. So I say go for it!

I saw the title and thought that looks intriguing, that appeals to Wolfie! Then I realized what you meant, bad Wolfie LOL! Yes that is perfectly acceptable, well I've done it in the past and I got away with it, so I can't see it being any problem, I mean some people have found discussions of mine which have been a year old! So go for it my friend, now you have me curious, I shall look forward to your interesting discussion for sure, but I won't get notified of it because It's not brand new! that's the only difference I can see, go for it ;0)

For me I see no reason why it cannot be done. We have many new members here who need more exposure to variety of topics that has been discussed earlier. but of course if this ruling is allowed it might not create an interesting place as the topics can be considered stale. The only alternative is to rewrite it in a your own wordings but having the same originality or meaning.

ABsolutely yes ^_^ As long as it's a discussion, who cares if it's old or new.. ANd if it's interesting, y not reignite it again, share it with all others.. hehe =D After all, the actual member whom started the discussion might not be in mylot anymore too, and thus it will be great if someone can dig out all the old ones to statrt discussing them again ^_^

i was thinking about it also long before i made my first response to a very old discussion. i couldn't see in the TOS that it violates rules and i guess it is just alright to do that. i usually respond to it if it's a matter of interest to me but recently, somewhere along her in myLot, someone told me that she was able to earn more when you respond to old posts than the new ones. not sure of this and i still have to run my own experiment with this subject.

i think it's great to do that! i obviously cannot be at my computer 24/7 or see every single discussion that was started, and i am sure i miss alot that i would like to respond to. so it may even be helpful to others to do that! :)
