Reasons to Get a Tattoo

All my life I wanted a tattoo but always had a reason not to do so. My parents refused to let me, after their death my Granny refused. Every boyfriend I ever had refused. My soon to be ex-husband definitely refused! In between relationships either I didn't have the money, or had the money and the Tat artist refused. Reason: I am totally terrified of needles, and had to get intoxicated to get my nerve up. Of course, due to excessive bleeding issues the Tat artist refused! So I ended up 45 years old with no tat. After my husband left in January, I started going to a local bar and met some cool younger people there who were freelance tat artists. I referred customers to them, and eventually had a few tat parties at my home. So I was offered my first tat for free! The needle issue came up, and so did the alcohol. I resolved that issue by getting totally smashed the night before until 4am, got the tat around 12 noon when I still had enough of the buzz to not worry about the needle. So now I am the proud owner of my first Tat! It is a red fox with green vines and small flowers coming up around the sides meeting at the top! I plan to get another before too long. I learned to not let anyone hold me back from what I want ever again. Life is WAY too short to let someone control my life!
