No, listening to these music genre does not make you crazy as long as you don't associate yourself with its lyrics. I know a few people who listens to hard rock and metal but they're good, civil people. I for one sometimes listen to these types of music but I'm not violent or a law-breaker individual. =)

i've been listening to hard rock and heavy metal for 33 years, and i've never gone crazy or had it get into my mind and cause me to do stuff.
it's just exciting loud music that get's your blood pumping.....I LOVE IT!
did you know some people listen to classical music, or country music, or opera and go crazy and do stuff.
you can't blame the music, you have to blame the person's mind no matter what kind of music they listen to.

I do not think that listening to hard rock or metal can cause one to do what the lyrics say. I know that some people think this way but I think if one uses this type of reasoning then one is just trying to lay the blame on something other than oneself.

I listen to metal on a DAILY basis and I am as level headed as anyone. So, the myth that it causes you to do stupid stuff is wrong. There are many metal heads that listen to it and are still level headed.
