Have you noticed that the inheritance trilogy is no longer a trilogy? In Eragon and Eldest, it was referred to as the inheritance trilogy, but, now, in Brisingr, it is referred to as the inheritance cycle? I wonder why Paolini changed it from a trilogy to a 'cycle' (with four books).

On alaglasia.com Paolini explains why he's made it longer. He said it's just too much stuff to put into one book. Does it matter? Not really... just more for us to enjoy, right?

A trilogy is three books and and a cycle is four books. Paolini had to much to write down so his publisher told him to make a fourth book, the third book was already long!

I have to wait until my son-in-law finishes it, then he'll give it to me. I really enjoyed the first 2 books. I couldn't put them down.

I've read and loved it! Paolini has matured in his writing with this book. My biggest disappointment was... I have to wait for the NEXT one! (sigh) I feel like I'm waiting for the HP books all over again. On alaglasia.com, Paolini said that Brisingr was actually split into 2 volumes in the Japanese printings. The artist who painted the dragons on the US version painted a Letharblaka (the parents of the Raa'zac--and yes, I know that's spelled wrong) on the 2nd volume. I wish I could see that!

I love the books. I am glad that his writing has matured. But how could it not? I am glad that he made the decision to split the book so we could have two good books instead of one where it might have not been as good because he had to leave stuff out or way too big. Although, maybe it would take me more than a day or two to read it if it was really big. My husband can't stand that I read so fast. I can go through books in a flash. Not good for the wallet because there is always another book I want to read.

I read Eragon and Eldest, but I don't have Brisingr yet. I can't wait to read it! I loved the first 2 and have a couple copies of each. It's almost like a Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings kind of series. Have you read it? Is it as good as the others?

Eragon - Eragon was more of an introductory book. This book explained just what it should have and kept my interest till the very end of the book. Eldest - Eldest told people more of Carvahall and what happened because of Eragon's decisions. His cousin was kind of boring and very dull. The book was boring on my personal view. Brisingr - Brisingr was the best book out of the whole series and very dramatic. Although Eragon's cousin was still telling part of the story he was more interesting and wasn't to boring. I liked the series and I can't wait for the fourth book.
