You can use geometric series
Sn(X) = (1-x^n+1)/(1-x)
your n = 365

if n =0 (first day)
(1-2^0+1)/(1-2) = 1 cent
if n=1 (second day)
(1-2^1+1)/(1-2) = 3 cents
if n=2 (third day)
(1-2^2+1)/(1-2) = 7 cents
...
if n=365 ( a year)
(1-2^365+1)/(1-2) = 1.5030672529752532658492675819452e+110 cents
You are the richest man in the world ...LOL

looking around the internet at people who actually sat down and did the math, it would be waaay more than a million. it would be soo much that the amount of pennies is greater than the mass of earth itself. they say that bout 10 trillion dollars exist in the world in different currencies and even that isnt enough for the double pennies for a year.

I came up with 3.8478521676166483605741250097796e+110. If that helps.... It is pretty large, and I would even be satisfied with a penny doubled two months...

I used my head!:D
Lol, jk, No, I multiplied 0.01 times 2 on the Calculator app in Windows. That's what gave me the answer...
