How to Increase Visitors to Your Blog

I write blog so as to share opinions on something and hope others who holding different or same opinions go to my blog and share them with me.However there are less and less visitor visit my blog. :(
Do you have some effective ways to generate more visitors going to my blog?
I think the answer is every blog owner what they are in urgent need of.

In addition to all those mentioned, I would also suggest joining blogging communities, like if you are Asian, go and join ricebowjournals.com. Also, try plugging your site on sites with plugboards, and sign up to join link rotations.
