So we love to write. I just wonder how you discovered this passion and when...did you write your first "piece" which marked the beginning of the writer in you? And how did you recognize that you have the talent? Did someone encouraged you, or you just knew deep within that you can write? I was nine years old when i wrote my first piece. It was a love letter for my 17 year old crush named Jessie. My mother was so proud when she found that letter and it embarrassed me whenever she boasted to her friends about it. I stopped writing after that. But when i turned twelve, I could not contain my thoughts that i began to write again - it was a 5 page "love story" about Ricky Martin and Myself. Then in high school, i wrote for the School Paper and was features editor...i wrote for school publications until college. But it was in high school that i realized i wanted to be a writer. My interests - from journalism to literature - would change but i kept on writing. Later on, after writing too many interviews, i decided that i liked creative writing more. Writing has not become my profession, but it has stayed as my "calling." It keeps me sane and alive. It also kind of brighten my very ordinary life, and it keeps my dream alive.

I'm beginning to have a real passion for writing. I have been writing for many years, keeping regular journals and so forth! I absolutely love writing and I thought I would try a bit of creative writing and I found immense joy in this. I have recently been published on Triond as well as Associated Content. That's a great feeling to know that what you have written has been published for others to read. I think the more you practise your writing, the better you become. My Lot is excellent for this too as you can express your creativity here. Good luck with your writing. Andrew

It's great to hear from you Andrew. What are your articles about in Triond and in AC? Send me a link to it. I would love to read them. I like creative writing as well. What i like most is knowing that people don't just get to read my piece, but they get inspired as well. Congratulations on your being published.

I remember that in elementary, writing class is so boring for me. Also, in that time, I am getting low grades with my grammar, just no interest for writing. And then, suddenly on my first year in high school. I started to write. Maybe it came out of my loneliness in that time. I am at a different school. I left all my friends at my old school, I became a loner. During that time, I stay at the library. The very first piece I have written was an inspirational story that I passed to the school newspaper. After that, they invited me to join and I did. I went to trainings with the other writers and that is where I really fell in love with writing even more. Writing gave me a way out of my loneliness.. Then from then, I never stopped writing. This also gave me this practice of always carrying a little notepad with me. Anytime or anywhere and an idea popped in my head, I will write that down and when I go home, I will expand this topic and make it into an article. At college. I am an associate editor of the college newspaper. I have a regular column, where I write experiences that I feel can inspire other students. And It feels good when someone will suddenly approach me and tell me that my column is inspiring them also. ... I am taking marketing. But I feel that my being a writer is my advantage for this course... I feel that writing is a part of life... it is a way of life... and it is something I will never stop doing... for me... "WRITING IS LIKE TALKING WITHOUT BEING INTERRUPTED. " hihi

I guess you'll never really know that you have the talent until you write, right? It is a wonder how loneliness, or perhaps the thoughts that crowd our mind could lead us into a discovery of this talent. Good to know you have discovered this passion and are now into a career where you can put your talent into good use. What makes it even better is your ability to inspire others with your words. Keep writing. The world is yours in your paper.

At grade three, me and my two sister; each one of us has diary. I remember mine, most of the issues therein are about my crushes and the happenings of the day. I did not put into writings my sorrows and unhappiness because my diary was not confidential, you can always found it on my bed. Its just like a magazine. Until high school i still do diary. And great one thing is, my father loves listening me reading aloud my diary and everybody amused of it. While my two sibs diaries are kept in safe and private. After i became christian during my college, i changed style, self journal my all hidden, joy and sorrows, everything therein but this time always start, "dear God". I wrote everything i asked, that includes my all material needs. I say all my hurting and joyous days. Stop doing the journal when i got married. Time came up that i was lonely and ostracized by my husbands family, i have nowhere to go and nobody whom to talk with, except writing. I could always recapped some points on my basic writings, most of it were down hurts, pains with matching tears. When i got my first cellphone N5110, everything typed and saved in it. I reached the point that i wrote a message for my mom, telling everything in it if suddenly i may die. I may not be a professional writer nor have skill of t but really this helps me a lot. I cant imagine my life without pen and paper wayback life was so rude. As i said in mylot before, writting is therapeutic.

For us who love to write, it is unimaginable to live well and for so long without spilling the words into paper. We could burst if we keep it all inside and not write them down. Yes lil, writing keeps us sane. Keep on writing my friend. And don't forget to save them. :)
