My niece the first day of school the teacher couldn't say her name. Instead of asking her to say her name. That way she knows how to say. She yelled at her saying it the wrong way and all the kids turned looked at my niece and laughed at her. She was so embracing her she just wanted to cry. She came home cring off the buss. How is that the right way to teach. Shes only 6 years old. Happy Mylotting!!!!

I thing the teacher your niece had met didn't choose a good way to deal with this problem. As a matter of fact ,some other teachers will make similar problems too .so i think ther should change their way to treat their students .but i think it is also neccessary to tell the children not take so mach attation to that too .

As you've already stated, that's not the right way to teach children or to treat children. It should be considered OK if a child cannot say your name. She shouldn't have been made fun of and the entire class should not have been allowed to make fun of her for it either. Children at 6 can't always say everything correctly anyway, so I don't see what the big deal is.

Well at 6 years old she has to be an a very low grade. Teacher do not know everything no one does. More so when it comes to saying names. There are some beautiful names out there and instead of taken the time to ask people would just rather guess or assum they know how to say it. Thats not right it take 2 seconds to say hunny how do you say your name. People are so caught up anymore they forget dont use or were never taught people skills. And onces again its the children that pay the price for our rudeness.
