Twilight vs Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

I was disappointed when Harry Movie 6 was moved to July 2009 because of the movie Twilight. I heard that the book is good but still they shouldn't have moved Harry Potter. I know there can be conflicts to the popularity but the people that wait for Harry Potter will be disappointed also. What do you feel about this news? Harry Potter being moved because of Twilight.

I don't have any idea about twilight, they maybe show it first before harry Potter because they wanted to bring up the popularity of this film, when they release it together with Harry Potter they will not going to earned much for that movie compare to harry Potter.
I am also looking forward for the harry Potter: The Half Blood Prince, although i already read the book, and i know what's it all about but still i wanted to see it in cinema or in the movie. It's different if you read it at the same time you see the movie coz you relate and understand it properly. I remember i've been read it twice :P

I understand the competition factor between these two movies. But I would have thought that Twilight should not have picked the same time period to release as the HP movie had already picked.
Oh well now we have two movies to look forward to seeing.

My daughter was completely convinced that she would love to marry Harry Potter. But now that she has read the Twilight series she wants a guy like Edward. She would kill me if she knew I wrote this on here. LOL
I read the Twilight series and am looking forward to the movie. I think they went overboard on how far ahead they moved the Harry Potter movie though. I think they could have showed it in December and it would be a blockbuster then. So I am annoyed.

my sister loves harry potter too, and she has all this posters, pictures, magazines and games all over her room but i think she's gonna get crazy if she'll realize that edward is actually kind a like harry's missing piece.harry hasnt been as passionate to love only until last year's movie which makes him a bit you know, incomplete. we'll still going too see the twilight though so i cant say anything good or bad about it..
im on breaking dawn.. and i cant put down the book.

Just wait you will cry because you finished it.
My daughter hates me because she just read what I wrote about her. LOL But it's the truth and she said "Oh well, who wouldn't want to marry Edward Cullen?"
Have you heard of the House of Night Novels? That series is about vampires as well. It is written by a mother and daughter team named Cast. The books are not as good as Twilight. But I think they are a good read anyway.

the movie wasnt made my Viva Films. the latter will just handle the Philippine release of that movie.. i am quite disappointed also that they moved HP to give way to Twilight.. although the book was really good. reading it was like watching the movie with your imagination.. and even though i love HP so much, i can wait for a few more months to watch that movie... waiting only makes the heart grow fonder.. heheheh..

well.. thmight not moved it because of the twilight.. i dont know.. where did you get the news from? i know HP is moving to 2009 but not because of the twilight... i wasnt even bothered why they moved it.. the first thing on my mind was maybe because of the preparation and all the stuffs they want to fix.. but since you brought the twilight perespective..
i think maybe because the previous HP movie wasnt that good and had bad ratings..im not sure if twilight's movie effects can beat HP. but if HP did really move because of twilight,the answer might be yes.
hehe...more people or rather teen agers are excited to twilight that HP..it could also be one of the reasons why gave way to twilight

It was announced on the internet as far as I know that was the reason given for the move of the Harry Potter movie because of Twilight.

I don't care about Harry Potter because I am no fan of that series. I prefer Twilight than Harry. After all, Harry Potter is purely adventure and all those silly magic magic and wizard wizard things. I prefer the plot of Twilight which is so awesome and alluring. Twilight tackles one of the most fascinating themes in the history of filmmaking: adventure, romance, suspense and sacrificial love, which I appreciated so much. It has a powerful appeal to the masses, the unforgettable tender love dialogues between Bella and Edward lingered on world audience which began immitating by people and students in every school campuses.
