What is a Click Worth to You?

This has really been bugging me for some time now and I wondered how others see it.
When clicking the advertisement links on ClixSense, do you click them all, or just those that are more than a penny?
I think I know the answer to this one - you click them all, right? Of course you do!
Then why do people that advertise on ClixSense pay .02 or more for some ads? Isn't that a big waste of money? If all of us click each ad anyway, regardless of whether it's .01, .02 or .05, what's the point of the person paying for the advertisement paying more for us to click?
Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that some people aren't real smart and that I get paid more for that particular click, but it just doesn't make sense to me why someone would do that. Getting more money for clicking that link isn't going to make me pay any more attention to that ad than it does for an ad that only gives me a penny.
I view all the ads and if I'm interested, I'll look further. If not, I won't. It doesn't matter whether they pay me more for clicking or not. I still click, but it's what happens AFTER the click that makes a difference to the advertiser, not how much they are paying me to click it in the first place.
I just don't get it.
Please don't anyone here tell me that they are paying more than .01 to advertise on ClixSense. My intent is not to insult anyone.
