I nursed my first son until I found out I was pregnant with my second son, he was ten months old then I had to stop and he went on formula for two months, I nured my second son until he was eight months and then I had to stop because he was biting too much, teething. I loved nuring my kids, the bond is between a mother and child is great, it creates something special from the beginning for both parent and child.

That is kind of what happened to me. My first one nursed about eight months, my second for 5. I wanted to continue, but I had gone back to work and I just couldn't keep up. My third is almost 7 months and still nursin g. she is starting to bite though, so we'll see how long it lasts.

I knew I wanted to use formula with my son before he was born. :) But the hospital wanted to brain wash me into nursing. Well, I ended up feeding him formula anyway! :) I am happy and my son is happy.

That's terrible! Why would medical professionals try to encourage you to do something that would be in your son's best interests?
